Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have caught Kodangal TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy red-handedly when the latter was allegedly giving Rs 50 lakh to Anglo Indian nominated MLA Stephenson following an agreement that the latter has to cast his vote to TDP MLC candidate Vem Narender Reddy.
It is learnt that the ACB is interrogating Revanth Reddy in a secret place and they will produce the MLA in front of the Judge later in the night.
It is learnt that Revanth Reddy was trying to woo Stephen for the last two days to cast his vote to TDP candidate. In the process, the ACB arrested him at Pushpagiri Apartments in Vijayapuri Colony in South Lalaguda in Secunderabad constituency, where Stephen’s son stays.
On the other hand, the TDP leaders including MLC candidate Vem Narender Reddy alleged that the TRS government conspired to trap Revanth Reddy intentionally.
Revanth Reddy has no such huge amount and he has only Rs. 10,000, which he carries with him usually. Stephenson lives at Boinpally but police detained Reventh Reddy in Secunderabad area, Vem Narender Reddy said.
