Reds Dump Jagan, Hug Pawan?

Reds Dump Jagan, Hug Pawan?

Not long ago, Greatandhra.com warned YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy about the opportunistic politics of the Left parties – CPI and CPI (M), when he was seeking support from CPI (M) national secretary Sitaram Yechury for his fight against the corrupt practices of the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh.

It pointed out that the Leftists had no consistency in their policies and if Naidu severs his links with the Bharatiya Janata Party and floats any third front, the Communists would not hesitate to join him. So, Jagan should be wary of the Left parties and he should try to develop his own strategies to fight against the Naidu government, instead of depending on the Leftists.

Now, it appears that the Communist parties have conveniently dumped Jagan, as they found a new fighter in actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan. Both the CPI and the CPI (M) leaders have declared that they would work with Pawan and fight for the issues he had been raising.

On record, however, CPI (M) state secretary P Madhu said it would take initiative in uniting all the opposition parties against the unilateral policies of Naidu and intensifying various ongoing people’s agitations in the state.

He was all praise for Pawan for launching an agitation for special category status. Similarly, CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna announced that his party was ready to work with Pawan Kalyan.

Are you listening, Mr Jagan?
