Naidu's Teleconferences Scaring!

Naidu's Teleconferences Scaring!

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is virtually sending shivers down the spine of officials with his teleconferences every day.

According to a report published in an English daily, Naidu’s teleconferences for two to three hours at a stretch early in the morning have become a nightmarish experience for the bureaucrats.

Some officials privately are complaining that they are not able to go even for morning walks. As a result, they have found a way out – switching off their mobiles so that they could carry on with their routine work. If they switch on their mobiles, they are deemed to be participating in the teleconference.

Moreover, Naidu has the habit of repeating the same lecture, which he makes during the teleconferences in the morning, at various programmes during the day – whether it is at a meeting or a convention or at the public congregation like Pushkara Haarati. Since the substance of all his sermons is more or less same, there is no way the officials can miss his points. They have virtually mugged up Naidu’s lectures word by word, say sources.
