KCR Wants Nothing Short Of CM Post

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao has finally made his ambitions clear. He wants to be the first Chief Minister of Telangana State.

He is understood to have told the Delhi bosses in Delhi that he would be willing to merge his party with the Congress only if he is made the Chief Minister.

Besides, he is learnt to have asked MP seats for his daughter K Kavitha from Nizamabad and close associate B Vinod Kumar from Karimnagar, and MLA seats for his son K T Rama Rao and nephew T Harish Rao.

He also wanted a say in the distribution of tickets to others in the Assembly elections.

This was where the talks between the TRS and the Congress remained as stalemate. The high command is in a tricky situation as if it concedes KCR’s demands, it would result in a lot of unrest among the Congress leaders in the region. So, the Congress leadership is in a dilemma.
