KCR pitches Kadiyam against Manda Krishna

With the arrest of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi president Manda Krishna Madiga and the unrest among the SCs creating a lot of trouble to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has quickly moved his pawns to control the damage.

KCR has pitched his deputy and education minister Kadiyam Srihari, also from Madiga community, against Manda Krishna so as to neutralise the latter’s impact.

Srihari has already split the Madigas and created a counter-group within the MRPS, but it did not have create much impact on the MRPS movement.

On Friday, Srihari came down heavily on Manda Krishna for targeting the TRS government, which was committed to the SC categorisation.

“In spite of the repeated assurances from KCR, Manda Krishna is targeting the government. There seems to be a large scale political conspiracy behind his allegations.

He is not uttering a word against the TDP and the BJP leaders, who had shown least interest in SC categorisation,” the minister said.

Srihari pointed out that right from the beginning, he had been fighting for the SC categorisation, irrespective of the party he was in.

“Even when I was in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet in the past, I strongly fought for SC categorisation. At one stage, I was almost sacked from the cabinet for taking up the cause of MRPS,” he pointed out.

He said the Centre was not giving appointment to the chief minister to take up the issue of categorisation.

“It looks like the BJP has no interest in the categorisation. But Krishna Madiga still hobnobs with the BJP leaders in Hyderabad,” he alleged.
