Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy on Tuesday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao was incapable of running the government.
Speaking in the Telangana State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday before the suspension of Congress MLAs for a day, Jana Reddy accused the TRS of breaking all laws and democratic practices.
He strongly condemned the defection of Congress MLAs to TRS and demanded that all those legislators be disqualified with immediate effect.
Responding to an allegation levelled by Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao, Jana Reddy clarified that in the past he did not join another party while in power.
He said he had quit the party and MLA's post in 1989 before joining another party. Similarly, T Jeevan Reddy did not defect to another party while in power.
He said the Congress MLAs who joined the TRS should have resigned from their post before leaving the party and they should re-seek elections.
Jana Reddy alleged that the TRS encouraged defections to weaken the Congress party so as to escape from facing serious debates on public issues.
