If Capital Gets Delayed, What Will Farmers Get?

If Capital Gets Delayed, What Will Farmers Get?

Finally, despite all the hiccups the land pooling process is going on as the ruling Telugu Desam party had wanted.

The latest analyst reports suggest that once the farmers give their land for land pooling, they may not have any rights on the land in future.

At least that’s what the papers being prepared by Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) say, warn observers.

As per earlier assurances given by the AP government, each farmer must be compensated with a 1000 sq yd residential plot and 200 sq yd commercial plot for each acre of farm land taken from them.

However, there is no clause which states as to what the farmers would get if the development of new capital gets delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Simply put, there is no penalty clause which could be detrimental for the farmers down the line, warn analysts.

Hence, they insist that the government must clearly mention as to what the government intends to do in case there is a delay. Else, the farmers will have to make do with what the CRDA decides, they point out.

Similarly, due to 9.3 clause in the agreement, the farmers will lose out on their right to appeal they disclose.

Right now, some farmers are worried that if they submit their original papers to the government and things go awry in between, how are they to deal with the situation at a later date.
