After supporting the BJP for four years, Chandrababu Naidu who was hopeful of extracting a windfall from the Centre for Andhra Pradesh was in for a huge shock as the BJP has given nothing to the State.
When he was earlier part of the NDA, Naidu could play a decisive role with Vajpayee because the BJP then did not have absolute majority. But the BJP does not need Naidu’s support now!
And if not Naidu, they can rely on support from Jagan or Pawan. But the key thing here is Naidu asking the people to vote TDP to power in all the 25 Lok Sabha seats which will give the TDP mileage and the power to influence the choice of Prime Minister in 2019.
Assuming that the TDP wins in 2019 and the UPA or a third front comes to power, how confident is Naidu of getting special status to AP?
And if the BJP comes to power again in 2019 (which Naidu says is impossibility) without need or support from Naidu, how will Naidu develop the State on his own? He needs to tell the people, the answer to this question.
