BJP puts up weak fight against TRS!

With the assembly elections in Telangana hardly two months away, the Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party is still in a state of confusion on how to fight against the mighty Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Even as the other opposition parties including the Congress, the TDP, CPI and Telangana Jana Samithi are trying to put up a strong fight against the TRS, there is absolutely no such effort from the BJP.

According to party sources, the BJP national leadership has pulled up the state BJP leaders for their lack of fighting spirit.

What agitation programmes has the BJP taken up against the TRS in the last four years?

What measures have you taken up in strengthening the organization from grassroots level?

Who are the potential candidates in 119 assembly segments? Where is the alternative political agenda before the party?

These are some of the questions the BJP national leadership reportedly asked the state BJP leaders.

And there is no answer from them to any of these questions. Instead, they are trying to throw blame on the Centre for being friendly with the TRS government headed by K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Against this backdrop, BJP national president Amit Shah is going to address a big public meeting at Mahbubnagar on Saturday.

Shah will pray Goddess Mahankali in the old city before proceeding to Mahbubnagar, where he would address a massive public meeting to start the election campaign.

On his way back to Hyderabad airport, Shah would have a meeting with state office bearers and district unit presidents of the BJP at a function hall in Kothur to give them direction to face the coming elections.

“Now, the party’s strategy is not to attack the TRS, but to make an appeal to the people to give the BJP a chance to rule the state, as they had already experimented with the Congress, the TDP and the TRS till now,” a BJP leader said.
