This YSRC MLA trying his luck in films!

YSR Congress party MLA from Chodavaram assembly constituency in Visakhapatnam Karanam Dharmasri might be busy in politics and public activities in his constituency.

But whenever time permits, he will not hesitate to fulfil his dream in acting.

Known for his theatrical talents, Dharmasri is presently playing the role of a “Rishi” (sage) in an upcoming devotional film being made by some film enthusiasts in north coastal Andhra.

The other day, Dharmasri was caught by camera performing penance on a rock deep in the forests of Paderu, donning the make-up of a sage.

The film is based on a story depicting the local deity – Modakondamma, who is revered by the tribals in the North Andhra.

The film unit was shooting some scenes in the Paderu forests on the sage, the role played by Dharmasri, performing penance to appease the gods and they appearing before him to grant him boons.

Needless to say, Dharmasri showed his acting talents as the sage.

Speaking to reporters later, Dharmasri said he had developed a lot of interest in acting, cultural activities and theatre arts right from the childhood.

His father Ramayya Dora was also a theatre artiste and a writer, who penned over 3,000 songs and acted in over 200 dramas.

The MLA said during his college days, he played the role of Yama Dharma Raju in a stage drama for which he had received an award.

He also played the role of Narada and Sri Krishna Devaraya in other dramas. He is also a good singer and won several awards, he added.
