Rahul Wants To Send Jagan To Jail Again

Rahul Wants To Send Jagan To Jail Again

Is Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is in favour of sending YSR Congress president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail again?

If some of the senior Congress leaders from Andhra Pradesh are to be believed and taken seriously, the answer is yes.

The Congress leaders had an interaction with Rahul Gandhi who entered the state on October 18 as part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra.

During the interaction, most of the leaders have told Rahul Gandhi that revival of the Congress in the state is not possible as long as Jagan Mohan Reddy continued to be active in politics.

They told Rahul that the Congress voters and the cadre went along with Jagan and the Congress has no voters today.

The vote share of the Congress had come down to two to three percent in the state and it was not possible to revive the party at this point of time.

After the deliberations, Rahul Gandhi had reportedly told some leaders that the Congress would send Jagan Mohan Reddy to jail again and then take both the leaders and the voters back to the Congress.

He had reportedly told the Congress leaders that the party cannot be revived in the state unless Jagan Mohan Reddy is sent to the jail.

Some of the Congress leaders have reportedly backed the idea, while a few have advised Rahul Gandhi to think again.

Well, Jagan Mohan Reddy is not the only leader who walked out of the Congress with the leaders and voters as well.

Sharad Pawar in Maharashtra, Mamatha Banerjee in West Bengal, Ajit Jogi in Chhattisgarh and Ghulam Nabi Azad in Jammu and Kashmir, besides several others.

But one wonders why Rahul Gandhi is targeting Jagan Mohan Reddy and holding him responsible for the Congress erosion in Andhra Pradesh!
