Known for his controversial comments, Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy once again pushed his party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu into an embarrassing situation.
Participating in a dharna organized by TDP MP Maganti Babu at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi in protest against the denial of special category status for Andhra Pradesh by the Centre, Diwakar Reddy said Naidu’s ambition of achieving special category status by making Congress president Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Minister of the country would not succeed.
“Since Congress has made a promise and adopted a resolution in the Congress Working Committee that it would grant special category status to Andhra Pradesh, if Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister, our party leader has joined hands with the Congress. But his dream will not be fulfilled,” JC said.
He described Rahul Gandhi as an incapable leader who cannot change the fate of the country.
“There is no point in running after him, as Rahul cannot become the PM and Naidu cannot keep his hopes on him,” he said.
JC lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and termed him as a faction leader and is behaving like a dictator.
He alleged that the Centre was not sanctioning special railway zone for AP in order to take the revenge on the state.
He expressed confidence that welfare programmes will be implemented in the state until Naidu was in power.
JC is known for making sensational comments on his own party and also on others and on many occasions, they created troubles for the party.
He did not mend his ways even after Naidu warned him several times against making such statements.
