Daughter, father fight over Pawan Kalyan!

The ongoing electoral battle in Pithapuram assembly constituency, where Pawan Kalyan is fighting the assembly elections against YSRCP candidate Vanga Geetha took an interesting turn on Friday.

Veteran Kapu leader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham, who joined the YSRCP and is campaigning against Pawan Kalyan, had to face a revolt from his own daughter Kranti Bharati, who came in support of Pawan Kalyan.

Reacting to Mudragada’s comments that he would change his name as Padmanabha Reddy, if he cannot hound away Pawan Kalyan from Pithapuram after ensuring the latter’s defeat in the elections, Kranti Bharati lashed out at her father, finding fault with his language at the Jana Sena Party president.

“There is nothing wrong in my father working for Vanga Geetha’s victory in Pithapuram and striving for YSRCP, but the tone and tenor of his language against Pawan Kalyan is highly objectionable. He cannot insult the Jana Sena Party president and his supporters,” she said.

Asking Mudragada to mind his language and change his attitude, Kranti Bharati said he would not get anything extra from YSRCP if he abused Pawan Kalyan.

“It is evident that YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is using Mudragada only to abuse Pawan Kalyan,” she said.

She predicted that it was certain Jagan would dump Mudragada after the elections and the latter would lose his identity soon.

“He will end up nowhere in the Kapu community,” Kranti Bharati said, adding she would strive for the victory of power star.

Reacting to his daughter’s comments, Mudragada said she was no way related to him after she got married.

“She doesn’t belong to my family anymore and she is like any other outsider for me. What is paining me that some people used her to abuse me. But politics is different from relationship,” he said.

Stating that he had joined the YSRCP a couple of months ago, Mudragada said there was no question of going back on his stand.

“I won’t look at any other party. I have no interest in any posts and positions,” he said.

Mudragada asserted that irrespective of the predictions made by various sections, it was certain that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would become the chief minister once again.

“I shall serve the party as a servant without aspiring for any positions,” he said.
