When we hear TDP we can only hear 2 names- Chandrababu and Lokesh. The party also has few other chiefs but it is a mere formality.
It is only Chandrababu’s word that is heard everywhere. In this backdrop, the post of AP TDP Chief is being perceived as dummy.
Senior leader Kala Venkat Rao is holding this post from the past five years. But even his own people don’t listen to him and go directly to Babu for any issues. Even Babu speaks to them and encourages them.
This is the scene in TDP. Now, Atchen Naidu is being offered this post and sources close to him reveal he is not very excited about taking it up. As such, the party situation in north Andhra is very bad.
Also, YCP has decided to make Vizag as Executive Capital. If this post is taken, he needs to oppose that decision, and that would bring resistance in the local areas for him.
It seems Atchen’s followers are suggesting not take this post as it has more headaches than advantages.
Above all, it would also have Babu’s political strategies and BC calculations. It is heard that even Atchen’s family circles are discussing on this.
