Samantha has been aggressively promoting "Shaakuntalam" as the release date is approaching. The mythological fantasy film is set to hit theaters on April 14.
Samantha is promoting the film at a pan-India level, having already given multiple media interviews in Hyderabad and Mumbai.
In order to appeal to North Indian audiences, she has adopted a modern look, wearing jeans, gowns, and skirts during promotional interviews in Mumbai. However, in Hyderabad, she has maintained a consistent saree look throughout all interviews.
The reason behind the "modern" look for North Indian audiences is known only to her, or perhaps she wishes to convey to them that she can be stylish.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has returned to work and is currently busy promoting her film Shaakuntalam. Also, she is shooting for her next web series Indian instalment of Citadel, co-starring Varun Dhawan.
