First Time Losers In Film Industry

First Time Losers In Film Industry

There are a few big players who rule the movie exhibition sector in the two Telugu states.

Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, and Sunil Narang are prominent faces in this sector. The majority of theaters are under their control.

They own some theaters and other theaters are under their control through lease agreements. They earn income through theater rentals.

Due to the shut down of theaters across the Telugu states for the past few days, these four families are incurring huge losses.

Industry insiders are saying that it is the first time they are incurring this kind of loss. Producers will come and go in the film industry and it is quite common.

But these four bigwigs make money irrespective of the result of the movies on these theaters in the form of rents.

With the latest 21 days nation-wide lockdown announcement of PM Narendra Modi, it has become pretty clear that theaters will not be opened any time soon. A lockdown till Apr 15 is confirmed so far.

Considering the developments across the globe, there are speculations that it takes at least 30 to 50 days to restore normalcy in the country. If that happens the losses of these four biggies would touch an all-time high.
