Breaking: 15% Cut in Pushpa Business Deal

Breaking: 15% Cut in Pushpa Business Deal

As the makers are gearing up for the launch of the trailer, the distributors of ‘Pushpa’ have finally sealed a deal.

The distributors of Andhra Pradesh have been asking the producers to change the agreement of the pre-release business owing to the reduction in ticket prices in the state.

The producers were initially stubborn on their stand. But now, they have made a deal with the distributors and unanimously have agreed to reduce 15% of the deal.

“Pushpa” was earlier sold to Andhra distributors for Rs 60 crore. Now, it has been readjusted to Rs 51 crore. Furthermore, the producers have also agreed to bear the GST if the need arises.

The rights for the Guntur region have been given to Metro Suresh in the same ratio. The ceded area is closed for Rs 18 Crore.

Altogether, the producers at Mythri Movie Makers will be losing about 13 Crore after the government decides to reduce the ticket prices. But if the film becomes a blockbuster, they will get an ‘overflow’ amount.

“Pushpa” stars Allu Arjun as the hero and is directed by Sukumar. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2021.
